Director of First Year Studies Dr Siggi Schmid is the Director of First Year Studies in Chemistry. He can advise you about Chemistry course options, methods of study, how to access chemistry resources, the exams and questions you have about the teaching. Siggi is located in room 223, close to Lab A in the First Year area and his e-mail address is s.schmid@chem.usyd.edu.au.
Deputy Director of First Year Studies Dr Natasha Hungerford is the Deputy Director of First Year Studies in Chemistry. She has overall responsibility for the First Year Chemistry labs. If you seek advice on any aspect of the laboratory work or on-line pre-laboratory work, see Natasha in room 224, close to Lab A in the First Year area and her e-mail address is n.hungerford@chem.usyd.edu.au.
Admin Team Dr Warren Lazer is the Professional Officer in charge of First Year Chemistry administration. He is supported by Mrs Sophie Patsalides in the First Year Enquiry Office and they handle all general enquiries, special considerations, tutorial quizzes and out of session lab attendance. Warren is located in Room 221, close to Lab D and his e-mail is w.lazer@chem.usyd.edu.au. Sophie runs the First Year Enquiry Office located outside Lab B.
Laboratory Support Staff Bernhard Logge is in charge of the First Year Chemistry Laboratories and service room, supported by Barry Whang and Hitendra Gopal. If you need any replacement equipment or additional chemicals they will supply them from the service room, located between Labs A and D.
