Timetable
|
|
You will be issued with your own timetable.
This ensures that classes are of appropriate sizes. If you have a timetable
clash there may be some flexibility in timing, depending on the unit of
study.

more information click here.
Note: There is a requirement that you attend a minimum of 90% of the

What happens if
I miss an assessment? |
Try and catch up!
If you miss a tutorial quiz or lab assessment, for whatever reason, there
are three courses of action available to you:
- Do nothing - you will score 0 for that assessment task. (Note there
is a minimum attendance requirement for the laboratory course.)
- See Sophie or Warren at the First Year Enquiry Office and arrange
to sit for the assessment at some other time (this is not always possible,
especially for laboratory assessments). Note that tutorial quizzes may
be completed at any of the scheduled week's tutorials, not just the
one you are timetabled to attend.
- You may apply for Special Consideration (which is not granted routinely)
if you miss a laboratory session, tutorial quiz or examination, or if
your performance in an exam is adversely affected by illness or special
circumstances. Follow the procedure outlined on the Faculty of Science
website, http://www.science.usyd.edu.au
. Application for special consideration must be submitted within seven
(7) days of the assessment affected. If you are prevented from doing
this by, for example, hospitalisation, you should contact the Faculty
Office immediately upon your return to University. Your preferred option
should be to catch up on missed assessable work as the School of Chemistry
offers many opportunities to do this - see Sophie at the Enquiry Office.
