Solubility Equilibria
Heterogeneous processes involve species in different physical phases - solids crystallising from solution, gases dissolving in liquids, the processes of melting and boiling, for example.

The different phases of water near the summit of Mt. Cook are shown in a process of dynamic interchange, which depends on the weather conditions. This module deals with systems in which phases are at thermodynamic equilibrium and the techniques used to describe and understand those equilibria.
