Which Units?

This page contains information on choosing the correct First Year Chemistry unit in Summer School. For information on choosing semester 1 and semester 2 units, use the 'Which Units?' page.

The School of Chemistry provides two units in the January - February section of the Summer School: As you may be taking Summer School units for a variety of reasons, the following is meant as a guide only. Please contact us if you require further information or advice on the units. Please contact the Summer School for all information on the process and cost of enrolment.
  • Ordinarily, CHEM1111 is a pre-requisite for CHEM1112 and must be taken first. If you are only taking one unit in Summer School, perhaps to accelerate your degree, it should be CHEM1111.
  • If you have previously failed CHEM1111, then you should take CHEM1111. If you have previously failed CHEM1112, you should take CHEM1112.
If you are taking Summer School as a replacement for another CHEM1 unit, please use the table below to ensure that you pick the correct Summer School unit. Contact us if you are still ensure.
