The background to the derivation and use of rate laws, the ideas of reaction energetics and reaction profiles have all been presented in previous modules.

This module draws together the range of concepts and tools that chemists use to quantitatively describe the kinetics and molecular mechanisms of simple chemical reaction schemes and extends them to some more complicated kinetic processes.
