CHEM1903 - Notices and New Resources

Want these resources delivered straight to you?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content, without you having to visit the site. When websites to which you subscribe add content, a 'newsreader' or 'RSS reader' on your computer automatically displays the new item. RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication' and RSS feeds are really just web pages which are read by computers rather than people.

On this site, when new resources are made available for this unit, such as model answers for tutorials, lecture notes or notices, the feed is updated and subscribers can then access these items directly without having to visit the website. The feed is provided for free, can be deleted at any time and does not require registration.

To use this service, you will need a newsreader on your computer. There are many news readers available and many are free. Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 are equipped with their own or you can download one - a list is help at the DMOZ Open Directory Project.

To subscribe to an RSS feed using a browser based newsreader, simply click on the orange icon and follow the instructions. For other newsreaders, right-click on the orange icon and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" to copy the location URL and then paste it into the appropriate place in your RSS reader. Follow the instructions for your particular newsreader.
